Most of the phones have five lines that show the signal strength of wirelessnetworks, whether GSM or GPRS. Likewise on the BlackBerry.
But you know that the 5-line signals can be converted to numbers? The figureshows the signal strength of the Blackberry in units of decibels per milliwatt(dBm).
It is very easy:
Press and hold ALT, then type 'NMLL'. The five signal lines will be instantlytransformed into a number that indicates the unit dBm.
Numbers -45 to -85 signal indicates 'strong'. When the numbers exceed -85to the -100, meaning the signal will be weaker.
To restore the display signal lines, simply do the same thing. Remember:Press and hold ALT, then type 'NMLL'.
