Manny the woolly mammoth, Sid the sloth, Diego the saber-toothed tiger, and Scrat the... whatever he is... are all back in the new movie from director Carlos Saldanha.
The story tells what happens as the characters begin to enjoy the melting of the Ice Age. But Manny, Sid, and Diego quickly find that a warming world comes with drawbacks: A huge glacial dam holding off oceans of water is about to break, threatening the entire valley. The only chance of survival lies at the other end of the valley. So our three heroes, along with some new characters, embark on a journey across an ever-changing, increasingly dangerous landscape. And of course the film also features the continuing misadventures, of Scrat, who appears in an expanded role.
